  BROWN
  
  Bessie D. Brown, 88, Stoystown RD 3, died April 27, 1986 in
  Meyersdale Manor.  Born Oct. 28, 1897 in Salisbury, daughter of Henry
  Edward and Anna R. (Pyle) Swartzwelder.  Preceded in death by parents;
  a brother and three sisters.  Survived by husband, Lester C.  Death
  ends marriage union of 71 years.  Also survived by these children:
  Kenneth, married to former Anne Krevetsky; Richard, married to former
  Marion Miller; and Eugene, married to former Jane Leverknight, all of
  Stoystown RD 3; and Mrs. Jay (Betty) Hittie, New Wilmington, Pa.;
  nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one
  great-great-grandson.  Family will receive friends 6-9 p.m. Monday at
  Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where service will be held at 11 a.m.
  Tuesday, the Rev. J. Wesley Spahn officiating. Interment, Somerset
  County Memorial Park.
