(Jordan) 04/02/05 Daily American Catherine G. (Jordan) Brown, 93, died in Akron, Ohio on March 31, 2005. Born Feb. 29,1912 in New Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Mary Francis (Firle) Jordan and William Michael Jordan. She is the last family member of nine children. Preceded in death by husband, George L. Brown; infant son James, daughters Alma Deist and Rose Gindlesperger. She is survived by sons and daughters; Thomas L. Brown of Maine, John R. Brown of Fla., Eugene P. Brown of Pa., Michael C. Brown of Fla., Georgia E. Walker of Pa., Joan E. Bantum of Ohio, Alzine M. Weimer of Ohio, Evelyn G. Lindeman of Pa., and Mary C. Baer of Ohio. She is also survived by 33 grandchildren and 51 great- grandchildren. She was a homemaker and a loving and caring mother. Friends will be received at the M. Ray Leckemby Funeral Home on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral Mass will be Tuesday 11 a.m. at Sts. Philip and James Catholic Church, Meyersdale with Father James Dugan, celebrant.
