Brown, 65, Hollsopple, died Nov. 6, 1986, at home. He was born March 23, 1921, in Meyersdale, son of William H. and Myrtle (Burkett) Brown. He was preceded in death by parents. He is survived by widow, former Ruth Holsopple; and children, Dorie, wife of Donald Musser, North Canton, Ohio; and Tom, married to former Louise Blough, Hollsopple; also six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was a brother of Kenneth, married to former Bessie Woy, Somerset; Betty, wife of Ernest Croyle, Johnstown; Gladys, wife of Donald D. Holsopple, Hollsopple; and Robert, married to former Betty Trexel, Boswell. He was a member of DAV of Johnstown and Maple Spring Church of the Brethren, where he was a deacon. He was a veteran of Coast Guard during World War II. Death ends a marriage union of 46 years. He was a retired carpenter for Dana Andrews. Friends were received at George E. Mason Funeral Home, Davidsville. Services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Maple Spring Church of the Brethren, with the Rev. R. Eugene Miller and the Rev. Elvin Holsopple officiating.
