Brown, 78, of Frostburg RD 2, Md., formerly of Meyersdale, died Aug. 24, 1994, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md. Born April 29, 1916, in Meyersdale, a son of the late Hiram and Nannie (Dietle) Brown. Also preceded in death by three brothers: Frank, Ray and Elmer Brown; three sisters: June Decker, Erma Pritts, and Pauline Gnagey, and his first wife, Ethel (Decker) Brown. Survived by his second wife, Nellie Rosenberger Brown; stepdaughters: Cynthia Early, Upper Marlboro, Md., and Peggy, wife of David Nagle, Austin, Tex.; step-grandchildren: Timothy Ryan Nagle and Nicholas Adam Nagle, both of Austin, Tex. A brother of Robert Brown, Meyersdale; Jack Brown, Bolivar, and Hilda Swindell, Meyersdale. A life member of the Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church of Garrett. Served 25 years as road department supervisor for Concord Township, Ohio, and 18 years with the Concord Township Fire Department. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale. Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church, Garrett, with Pastor Charles Lady officiating. Interment, Union Cemetery, Meyersdale. Memorials may be made to Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church, Garrett.
