Born Feb. 23, 1929, in Queens, N.Y. Son of the late Daniel and Julia (Dugan) Brown. Also preceded in death by sisters: Rita Stahl, Dorothy Carlow and Florence Sylvester. Survived by wife, the former Mary Rita Collins, to whom he was married for 41 1/2 years. Survived also by a number of nieces and nephews. Member of St. Peter's Catholic Church; Our Lady of the Laurel Highland Council 8908, Knights of Columbus, and a 4th degree of the David Dodson Assembly, Knights of Columbus; American Legion Post 507, Brooklyn, N.Y. Army veteran of the Korean War. Retired manager of the Duplication Dept. of Time Magazine, New York City, N.Y. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter's Church, Somerset, with the Rev. Msgr. Samuel R. Tomaselli as celebrant. Interment, St. John's Cemetery. Wake service at 8:45 p.m. Tuesday.
