Brown, 78, of 632 N. Bever St., Wooster, Ohio, died January 15, 1988, at Doctor's Hospital, Massillon, Ohio. He was born Aug. 17, 1909, in Cleveland, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Harold. He is survived by his wife Dr. Josephine (Hay) Brown, a daughter Ellen Brown, of Bogart Briar Cliff Manor, N.Y.; one granddaughter. He was a polio victim at age 16. He was a 1935 graduate of Baldwin Wallace College and a 1940 graduate of Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, Kirksville, Missouri. He came to Wooster in 1947 to practice medicine; was a charter member of the Wayne General Hospital, Orrville, Ohio; past president of Euclid Ohio Rotary Club and a member of the Wooster Ohio Rotary Club. He was active in the Alumni Assn. of Baldwin Wallace and very active in the promotion of rights of the disabled in Wayne Co., Ohio. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Wooster. Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. Jan. 19, at the First Presbyterian Church, Wooster. Private burial Monday at the Hay Church Cemetery, Berlin. McIntire, Davis, Greene Funeral Home, Wooster, Ohio, was in charge of arrangements. The Republic, January 21, 1988 [B2872]
