    Elsie M. Brown, 78, of Bunker Hill Road, Somerset, died Jan. 11,
  2000, at home.  Born April 2, 1921 in Cumberland, Md., daughter of
  Robert and Rosa (Keidel) Fresh.  Preceded in death by parents;
  husband James, who died in 1986; and brother Ernest Fresh.  Survived
  by these children: James Jr., married to Carol, of Hollidaysburg;
  Gloria, married to Robert Rouch, of Rayland, Ohio; Robert, married to
  Margaret, of Flat Rock, Mich.; Ronald, married to Donna, of Edie; and
  Jerry of Bridgeville.  Also 13 grandchildren and seven
  great-grandchildren.  Sister of Bessie, married to James McKenzie of
  Corriganville, Md.  Member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Rockwood,
  where she participated in the Alter Guild, the adult Sunday School
  class and the prayer chain.  Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and
  7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, Rockwood.  A service will
  be held 11 a.m. Friday at St. Luke's church, with one hour of viewing
  prior to the service, the Rev. Ardelle Mason officiating.  Interment,
  Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Glencoe.  Memorial contributions may be sent to
  St. Luke's church, the "In Touch" Hospice or the American Cancer
  Society.
