  BROWN
  
    Ernest W. Brown, 81, of Somerset RD 5, died Oct. 27, 1994, at
  Somerset Hospital.  Born June 24, 1913, in Meyersdale, son of the
  late William and Kathryn (Pugh) Brown.  Preceded in death by son,
  James, and brother, Harry.  Survived by his wife of 57 years, the
  former Maude Lavan; nephew, Rev. Robert Brown of Newton Falls, Ohio;
  niece, Dr. Doris Brown of Johnstown.  A farmer and steelworker by
  occupation.  Member of Meyersdale Church of the Brethren.  U.S. Navy
  veteran of World War II.  Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7
  to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home, Somerset,
  where a private funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m.
  Sunday, Rev. Robert Brown officiating.  Interment, Lavansville
  Cemetery.
