(Joe) Brown, 78, formerly of Boynton, Pa., died Friday, April 23, 1993, at Meyersdale Manor Nursing Home. Born Jan. 29, 1915, at Boynton. Son of the late Ananias and Emma (Shoemaker) Brown. Preceded in death by his wife Alverta (Lindeman) Brown on March 6, 1993, and was the last surviving member of his family. Survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Member of Boynton Church of God, the USWA Local 14427 and was employed at the Pittsburgh Knipple Works. Friends will be received Saturday from 4 to 9 p.m. at the Newman Funeral Home, Inc., Salisbury, Pa., where services will be conducted on Sunday at 5 p.m. with the Rev. Scott Varney officiating.
