He was born December 22, 1912, in Meyersdale, the son of the late Peter and Mary Pugh Brown. On February 22, 1934, he married Famie (Burk) Brown, who preceded him in death. Along with his wife, he was preceded in death by five brothers: Bill, Mahlon, Raymond, Dalton and Charles; and three sisters: Margaret, Mary and Emma. Surviving is a brother, Joseph Brown, of Somerset. Homer worked as a coal miner and carpenter. He was a member of the Ryot Church of Nazarene. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Edward Blackburn Funeral Home, Pleasantville, with Pastor Mark Mohnkern and the Rev. Arthur Roxby officiating. Interment was in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Johnstown.
