Brown, 81, of Friedens RD 2, died Oct. 27, 1980, at Mercy Hospital, Johnstown. Born June 20, 1899, in Dunbar, son of William H. and Jane (Cole) Brown. Preceded in death by parents and five brothers. Survived by widow, the former Mabel Parlett, whom he married Sept. 30, 1920; one daughter, Mrs. Victor (Annabelle) Morocco, Friedens RD 2; two grandchildren, Thomas D., Erie; and Mrs. Garvin (Sandy) Kissinger, Mechanicsburg; five great-grandchildren. Brother of Ivan, Athens, Ohio; Mrs. Helen Potts and Mrs. Ruth Hartley, both of Phoenix, Ariz. Retired rural mail carrier and coal miner. Member of Friedens Lutheran Church and former Sunday school teacher. Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Remains will be removed to Friedens Lutheran Church to lie in state from 1 p.m. until services at 2 p.m. Thursday, the Rev. James R. Ling. Interment, Friedens Lutheran Cemetery.
