Brown Sr., 74, of Somerset RD 1, died Nov. 30, 1986, in the Veterans Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born Sept. 10, 1912, in Meyersdale, a son of Isaiah and Mary (Crissinger) Brown. Survived by his wife, Elsie (Fresh) Brown, Somerset RD 1; four sons, James, Holidaysburg; Robert of Flat Rock, Mich.; Ronald, Garrett; and Jerry, Aliquippa; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Gloria) Rouch, Rayland, Ohio; three brothers, George, Key Largo, Fla.; Charles, Berlin; and Bernard, Somerset RD 1; one sister, Mrs. Sarah Pockstaller, Connellsville; 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandson. Preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and one brother. His death terminates a marriage union of 48 years. Member of the American Legion, Charles E. Kelly Post 112, Meyersdale; Somerset VFW, Post 554. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Also member of Pa. Association of Retired State Employees. Retired employee of the Rockwood State Store after serving 32 years. He was also a retired employee of the Somerset Shirt and Pajama Factory where he worked for 21 years. Member of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Somerset, where Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Father Samuel Tomaselli. Wake service will be held Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at the William J. Wood Funeral Home, Rockwood. Friends will be received in the funeral home Monday 7-9 p.m. and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. Interment, Sts. Philip and James Cemetery, Meyersdale. Arrangements are under the direction of the William J. Wood Funeral Home, Rockwood, with Frances Brady, supervising.
