    James E. Brown, 55, of Somerset RD 5, died Aug. 5, 1993 at Somerset
  Hospital.  Born Aug. 11, 1937 in Jefferson Township, son of Ernest and
  Maude (Lavan) Brown of Somerset RD 5.  Employed by Somerset Foundry as
  a sand mixer.  A member of Shopman's Local 527, Pittsburgh. Veteran of
  U. S. Army. Member of the DAV and Somerset Alliance Church. Friends
  will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Wilbur
  D. Miller Funeral Home, where funeral service will be conducted at
  1:30 p.m. Sunday, Rev. Dr. Melvin Vance officiating.  Interment,
  Lavansville Cemetery.
