BROWN Lloyd Carl Brown, 68, of 613 Elwood Street, Cumberland, Md., died Jan. 9, 1979 at Memorial Hospital in Cumberland. He had been in ill health. Born Feb. 17, 1910 in Meyersdale, he was the son of the late John and Amanda Brown and was a retired employee of the Cumberland Water Department. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose. He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura (Werner) Miller Brown. Surviving are one stepson, Paul R. Miller, Wellersburg; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Roy H. Knotts, Cumberland; one brother, Clarence Brown, Boynton; five sisters: Mrs. Martha Wheeling, Petaluma, Calif.; Mrs. Ella Winters and Mrs. Florence Christner, both of Boynton; Mrs. Elizabeth Blocher, Salisbury and Mrs. Anna Marteney, Meyersdale; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home where services were conducted with the Rev. Frank Trotter officiating. Interment, Greenville Cemetery, Pocahontas.
