  BROWN
  
    Mabel V. Brown, 82, of Somerset, died Jan. 2, 2000 at Patriot
  Manor.  Born Oct. 29, 1917 in Meyersdale, she is the daughter of the
  late Clyde J. and Verda (Gnagey) Shumaker.  Survived by her husband
  of 62 years, Karl H. Brown; sisters-in-law, Freda Menego of Somerset
  and Ada Spahr of York; also a number of nieces,  nephews and
  cousins.  Member of the Somerset Church of the Brethren and a
  graduate of Meyersdale High school.  Friends received from 7-9 p.m.
  Monday at the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home.  Family and friends
  will gather at the funeral home at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday and proceed to
  the Union cemetery.  Meyersdale, where a graveside service will be
  held at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Dorothy Steele officiating.

  S. Center Ave., Somerset, Pa, 15501.
