   Maude Mae Brown, 95, Somerset, died April 15, 2007, at the Patriot. Born May 29, 1911,
  in Jefferson Township, a daughter of David and Jenny (Friedline) Lavan. Preceded in death
  by parents; husband, Ernest William Brown, who died Oct. 28, 1994; son, James Edward
  Brown; brother, Frank Lavan; and sister, Leora Boyts. She had worked for Cascio's Fruit
  Market until her retirement in 1974. She was also a member of the Pleasant Hill United
  Methodist Church. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Hauger-Zeigler
  Funeral Home, Somerset and one hour prior to the service at 11 a.m. Thursday, at the
  Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, Friedens. The Rev. Dennis A. Fetter officiating.
  Interment, Lavansville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Pleasant Hill
  United Methodist Church, 337 Mountain View Road, Friedens, PA 15541.
