Mrs. Brown was ill for a long time and finally passed away on her 77th birthday. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bolden, and was born near where she died. She was twice married, first to John Finzel and then to William Brown. Both husbands preceded her in death. She is survived by four daughters: Mary, wife of Roy Mets, and Idella, wife of Howard Wagner, both of Finzel; Alberta, wife of John A. Housel, Salisbury, and Edna, wife of Charles Clark, Frostburg; two sons, John Finzel, at home, and Nelson Finzel, Akron, Ohio; two sisters, Alice, wife of William Finzel, Frostburg, and Mary, wife of Thomas Crowe, Greenville Township; three brothers, John Bolden, Frostburg; Charles Bolden, Meyersdale, and Albert Bolden, North Canton, Ohio, 29 grandchildren and 18 great- grandchildren. Mrs. Brown was a faithful member of St. Mark's Evangelical and Reformed Church at Pocahontas, where funeral services were conducted on Monday, April 16, at 2:00 p.m., with her pastor, Rev. J. E. Gindlesperger officiating. Interment in the Finzel Cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, April 19, 1945
