Brown, Sr., 76, of Temple, formerly of Somerset County, died Aug. 16, 1995, at Community General Hospital. Brown was born Sept. 12, 1918, in Somerset County. He was the son of the late Peter F. Brown and Mary A. (Pugh) Brown. He was also preceded in death by a son, Gerald R. Brown. Brown is survived by a son, Raymond D. Brown, Jr., at home; a daughter, Janice S. Fisher, married to Donald S. Fisher, Laureldale; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was the brother of Mahlon Brown, Defiance, Ohio; Homer W. Brown, New Paris; Dalton Brown, Stonycreek; and Joseph O. Brown, Meyersdale. Brown was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, where he served in World War II. He was employed as a driver for the Reading Bus Company for 30 years. Brown was a member of the Spring Valley Church of God. Family received friends Aug. 19 at the Auman Funeral Home in Reiffton, where a service was held the same day. Rev. Robert Hinson officiated.
