Born Dec. 6, 1932, in Salisbury, son of the late Hubert and Nira (Merrill) Brown. Also preceded in death by a brother, Hubert Jr., and a sister, Audrianne Horning. Survived by his wife, Lillie A. (Shoemaker) Brown, four children: Sharon Korns, Midlothian, Md.; Brian Brown, Amy McKenzie and Anita Klink, all of Salisbury; two brothers: James Brown, Richmond, Va.; Jon Brown, Salisbury; three sisters: Rayetta Brant, Springs; Margaret Schrock and Marsha Thomas, both of Meyersdale; and six grandchildren. Member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Salisbury, and was a retired employee of the shipping and packing department at Meyersdale Medical Center. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., Grantsville, Md., from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John's United Church of Christ, with the Rev. Raymond Brown officiating. Interment, Salisbury Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to either St. John's United Church of Christ or Somerset Hospital "In-Touch" Hospice. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to service.
