Brown, died at her home in Salisbury, Jan. 15, 1943, aged 67 years, 10 months and 22 days. She was a daughter of Adam and Lucy Garlitz Baker, and was a native of Greenville Township. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Brown is survived by four children, namely, Annie, wife of Oscar Housel of Boswell; Mrs. Maggie Housel of Hyasota; Elmer and Leon Brown of Salisbury; also by three brothers and one sister - Albert Baker of St. Michael; Daniel Baker of Springs; Solomon Baker of Hyasota, and Miss Annie Baker of Somerset. Mrs. Brown had been in a diabetic condition for a long time on account of which one of her legs was amputated about two months ago; later gangrene developed, which proved fatal. Funeral services were conducted at St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church, of which Mrs. Brown was a faithful member, last Sunday, at 2:30 p.m., her pastor, Rev. Ira S. Monn, officiating. The burial arrangements were in charge of Stanley M. Thomas, Salisbury mortician. Interment was in the Salisbury I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, January 21, 1943
