(Frantz) Brown, died Wednesday morning, June 27, at his home in Cumberland, Md. He had been an invalid for five years. He was a former flagman for the Western Maryland Railway, an honorary member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen, and of the Knights of Malta, and a longtime member of Zion Methodist Church, Cumberland. A native of Meyersdale, he was a son of the late Michael and Sarah (Marteney) Brown, and went to Cumberland in 1900, where he had since made his home. He is survived by his wife, three sisters, Mrs. Cora Reiber and Mrs. Ann Hoover, Meyersdale, and Mrs. Rosa Geisbert, Canton, Ohio. and two brothers, W. S. Brown, of Waterloo, Iowa, and John I. Brown of California, Pa. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, June 30, at his residence, with Rev. Richard H. Pready officiating. Interment was made in Hillcrest Burial Park, Cumberland.
