She was born March 12, 1903, in Shanksville, a daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Ashman. She was a Lutheran by faith and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Somerset VFW post. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two husbands: Martin O'Dell and Maurice Brubaker; a daughter, Bettie Rae Whitaker, and a stepbrother, Luther Brubaker. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Fern A. Bianco of Greensburg; a sister, Mrs. Elsie Schramm of Union City, Pa.; two stepdaughters: Mrs. John (Blanche) Shuster of Jeannette and Mrs. Anna Mae Carver of Big Ford, Montana; four grandchildren: Clifford A. Waugaman, Dean A. Waugaman and Billie A. Waugaman, all of Greensburg, and Mrs. Donald (Mona) Cramer of Latrobe, and 7 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Barnhart Funeral Home, 505 E. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday at which time services will be held in the funeral home, with the Rev. Tom Bish officiating. Private interment will follow in Casebeer Lutheran Cemetery in Somerset County. Daily American, February 22, 1995 [B2975]
