Brubaker, one of the best known citizens of Berlin died in the Windber Hospital at 1:30 a.m., Monday. He entered the hospital Nov. 14, after an illness of several weeks. He was born Nov. 27, 1886, a son of Charles and Henrietta Knepper Brubaker, and was 60 years of age at the time of his passing. Mr. Brubaker took an active part in civic affairs of Berlin, having been burgess of the town for ten years. He was also a member of the Berlin Volunteer Fire Department. By vocation he was a painter and decorator. He was a member of the Lutheran church. He is survived by his wife, Mary (Dively) Brubaker and a daughter, Evelyn, Mrs. Earl E. Firl of Central City, and these brothers - Horace P. Brubaker and F. Lee Brubaker, Johnstown; Harry F. Brubaker, Pittsburgh; Lester Brubaker, Johnson City, Tenn. Funeral services Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, with Rev. Robert S. Nagle officiating. Interment in I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, December 6, 1946
