  BRUBAKER, Ruth P.  11/17/07   Daily American
  
    Ruth P. Brubaker, 92, Palmyra, formerly of Somerset, passed on Nov. 16, 2007, at The
  Masonic Village in Elizabethtown. Born May 27, 1915, in Somerset, she is the daughter of
  the late James and Eva (Weigle) Dumbauld. She is also preceded in death by her husband,
  Luther W. Brubaker in 1994; daughter, Sally A. Rhodes; son-in-law, Robert M. Rhodes Jr.;
  and brothers, Richard, Peter, and James (Jr.) Dumbauld. She is sur- vived by her
  daughter, Betty Jane Shaffer and husband,  Dean,  Palmyra. Grandchildren, Robert M. 
  Rhodes III and wife, Roseanne, Milford, Ruthie Romesberg and husband, Samuel,  Rockwood;
  and Jennifer Harris and husband, Matthew, Pittsburgh; and great-grandchildren, Griffen,
  Rowan and Maddox Rhodes, Abby and Emma Romesberg, and Maxwell and Alexandra Harris. Mrs.
  Brubaker was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Somerset.  Somerset. She
  was a member of the Somerset Music Club, the Garden Club of Somerset, and the Order of
  the Eastern Star. She was also a member of the Somerset Business and Professional
  Women's' Organization (BPW) and was a past chairperson for the Republican party in the
  Somerset Southwest Precinct. Friends will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Miller
  Funeral Home, Somerset, where a service will be held 11 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Dale Shunk
  and the Rev. Arthur Gotien officiating. Interment at St. John's Cemetery. Memorial
  Contributions may be sent to the American Heart Association at 400 Luray Ave., Johnstown,
  PA  15902.
