He was born Feb. 17, 1892, in Glen Savage, a son of Conrad and Margaret Bruck. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Katie Ferguson; and a son, Alvin. Survived by these children: Mrs. James (Bernadine) Sarver, Berlin; William, Mt. Pleasant; Mrs. Donald (Ida) Shafer, Harrisburg; and Frank, Cumberland, Md.; also 25 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Edward of Berlin. He was a retired farmer. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Glen Savage; and was an army veteran of World War I. Funeral arrangements, in charge of Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, Berlin, where services were held with the Rev. John Jenista officiating.
