  BRUENING
  
    Daniel E. "Sonny" Bruening, 55, Fountain Valley, Calif., formerly
  of Stoystown, died May 12, 1999, at Orange Coast Memorial Hospital. 
  Born Oct. 30, 1943, in Somerset.  Son of Mary Naomi (Durand) Bruening
  of Stoystown and the late Oscar R. Bruening.  Survived by his wife,
  the former Phyllis June Rhodes; son Gordon Bruening of Schellsburg,
  stepchildren: Larry Deremer of Bedford and Brenda Williams, Lorie
  Baker and Tina Williams, all of Maryland.  Foster daughter Gaynor
  De-Weese.  Also 7 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.  He was
  a brother of Mary Kathryn Donia of Detroit, Mich.; Budd, Albuquerque,
  N.M., Connie of Stoystown, and Lois Spaulding of San Diego, Calif. 
  Army veteran of Vietnam War.  Family will receive friends from 5 to 9
  p.m. today at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where service will be
  held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Rev. Chauncey Ickes officiating. 
  Interment, Odd Fellows Cemetery, Stoystown.  Graveside military rite
  by Menoher VFW Post 155 Ritual Team.
