  BRUENING
  
    Mary Naomi Bruening, 88, Old Lincoln Highway, Stoystown, died Sept.
  26, 2000, at home.  Born Sept. 6, 1912 in Clearfield County, daughter
  of David and Josephine Durand.  Preceded in death by parents,
  husband, Oscar R., son, Daniel "Sonny" and brothers David and Lester
  Durand.  Survived by these children: Mary Kathryn "Kay" Donia,
  Trenton, Mich.; Budd, married to the former Pam Seifert, Albuquerque,
  N.M.; Connie, with whom she resided; and Lois, married to Jerry
  Spaulding, San Diego, Calif.; daughters-in-law: Phyllis Bruening,
  Friedens; and Beverly Bruening, Sipesville; 11 grandchildren, 12
  great-grandchildren.  Sister of: Josephine "Hun" Hoffman and Ruth
  "Eleanor" Goss, both of Greenville; Mildred "Millie" Boldo, Marian
  "Mannie" Shirato, Frances, Clifford and Carl Durand, all of
  Saltsburg; and Minerva "Herk" Balcom, Washington state.  She is
  retired from Nancy Carol Garment Factory, Boswell, after 22 years. 
  She attended Kantner United Methodist Church, member of Shanksville
  and Forbes Area senior citizens and she recently celebrated her 88th
  birthday with a surprise family picnic.  Family will receive friends
  from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown,
  where service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, with the Rev. David
  Boldo officiating.  Interment, Odd Fellows Cemetery, Stoystown. 
  Memorial contributions may be given to Kantner United Methodist
  Church.
