Peck Bruner, 95, Copper Kettle Highway, Rockwood, died Dec. 17, 1998 in Somerset Hospital. Born July 30, 1903 in Middlecreek Township, daughter of the late Joseph C and Grace (Singo) Reese. Preceded in death by her first husband, Wilbert Peck in 1971; a daughter, Grace Fisher; a daughter, Madge, in infancy and a sister, Ella Miller. Survived by second husband of 23 years, Glen Bruner and the following children: Reed Peck, married to the former Charlotte Harrison, Baltimore, Md.; Ted Peck, married to the former Audrey Shepler, Somerset; Mrs. Elwood (Georgia) Ansell, Kingwood Road, Rockwood; Joseph W. married to the former Mardelle Shepler, Copper Kettle Highway, Rockwood; stepchildren: Mrs. Joyce Meyer, Brandywine, Md.; Donald Bruner, married to the former June Schweiter, Berlin Plan Road, Somerset; Harold Bruner, married to the former Kathy Doucette, Hackberry, La.; Ronald Bruner, married to the former Betty Drencin, Trent Road, Rockwood; 8 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 10 step grandchildren, 12 step great grandchildren; sister, Maude McGee, and Frances DeFelice, both of Acosta. A life-long member of the Center Church of the Brethren and a member of the Women's Fellowship of the church. Friends received from 7-9 p.m. Friday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday, at Miller Funeral Home, Somerset. Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Center Church of the Brethren. Rev. Gerald Deffenbaugh and Rev. Tom Singo officiating. Interment in Middlecreek Cemetery. Viewing one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Daily American, December 18, 1998 [B3016]
