She passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born Oct. 6, 1927, in Melcroft, a daughter of the late Harry Leroy and Daisy Alverta (Miller) Ansell. In addition to her parents, Helen is predeceased by a daughter, Karen Elaine Wilders; son-in-law, Richard Eugene Wilders; and a sister, Leora G. Ansell. In addition to her own wonderful children, Helen and her husband Glenn also raised two grand-children, Neil and Bethany Wilders, after the deaths of their daughter Karen and son-in- law, Richard Wilders. Helen will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by her family, her husband, Glenn "Jr." Bruner; her children, Dennis Bruner and wife Dorothy, Indian Head; Danny Bruner and wife Ruth Ann, Christiana; and Douglas Bruner and wife Sally, Indian Head; her grandchildren, David Bruner and wife Denise, Indian Head; Michael Bruner, and wife Vynessa, Connellsville; Keith Bruner; and wife Gemma, Parkesburg; Eric Bruner, and wife Bonnie, Honeybrook; Jeff Bruner, Lancaster; Erin and Megan Bruner, Indian Head; Neil Wilders, and wife Alishia, Normalville; and Bethany Wilders, Derry; her great-grandchildren, Emily, Seth, Luke, Hannah, Caleb, Elly, Amy and Zachary Bruner; and her sisters, Nora Geary, and husband Barney, and Alverta Pritts, all of Indian Head; Charlotte Hartz, and husband Harold, of Connellsville; and Mildred Grimm, Champion. Helen was a graduate of Connellsville High School with the class of 1945. Before she got married, Helen worked at C.W. Resh Store in Indian Head and in later years she drove a van for Colborn Bus Lines. Helen was a life-long and very active member of the Indian Head Church of God. She had served as assistant Sunday School Teacher in Mrs. Smith's Nursery Class and belonged to the Christian Fellowship Sunday School class. She also had served as a Deaconess, on the church council, and helped with Vacation Bible School. The family would like to specially thank Medi-Home Hospice for their wonderful and kind care during Helen's illness. Family and friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Clyde Brooks Funeral Home Inc., Route 711, Melcroft. Additional viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., the hour of a funeral service, Saturday, in the Indian Head Church of God, along Route 711. The Rev. Dennis Arndt officiating. A committal service and interment will follow in the Mount Nebo Cemetery, Saltlick Township. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Indian Head Church of God, Indian Head, PA15446, or the Medi-Home Hospice in memory of Helen Louise Bruner.
