(Hess) Bruner, 74, of the Bard section, Buffalo Mills RD 1, died Wednesday, January 16, 1985 at Memorial Hospital of Bedford County. A former resident of Hyndman, he had been serving continuously on the board of directors of the Hoblitzell National Bank, Hyndman since 1938 and had been the bank's president since 1961. Born in Hyndman July 7, 1910 he was a son of the late Elmer Bruner and Lenore (Klinton) Bruner. He was a graduate of the Bliss Electrical School in Takoma Park, Md. He worked for several years as an electrician at the Amcelleero plant of the Celanese Fibers Corporation near Cumberland, Maryland before becoming a farmer. While residing in Hyndman, he was a member of the Hyndman Reformed Church and the former IOOF organization. He was a member of Hyndman Lodge 589, F&AM, and was president of the Bard Gun Club. Surviving are his widow, the former Ona Corley; two brothers, Albert (Buck) Bruner, Hyndman; Robert A. Bruner, Hyndman RD 1. Friends were received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home where services were conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. by the Rev. Charles T. Bockhouse. Interment, Dry Ridge Cemetery. The Republic, January 24, 1985
