Born May 9, 1943, in Meyersdale, the daughter of Harold Niner and Garna (Durst) Niner-Walker. Preceded in death by father. Survived by husband, Bernard Lars Bruner, to whom she was married 37 years; mother, Somerset; sons: Duane Bruner, married to the former, Mary Piatt, Somerset; Dan Bruner, married to the former, Laura Cover, Williamsport; and granddaughter, Anna Bruner. Also survived by sisters: Lois Powers, Sacramento, California; and Mrs. Charles (Esther) Escott, Grass Valley, California. A graduate of the Cumberland School of Nursing, worked as a registered nurse for the former Somerset State Hospital, retiring in 1995. Ruth was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her family very much and she will be forever missed. Friends were received 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where a service was conducted at 2 p.m. Monday.
