Buchanan, 77, Somerset RD 2, died Jan. 20, 1985, at his residence. Born Nov. 9, 1907, in Greensburg, a son of the late James and Mabel (McCall) Buchanan. He is survived by his wife, the former Grace M. Buchanan; and these children: Anthony of Markleton RD 1; Mrs. Jerry (Linda) Fisthtrom of Kentfield, Calif.; John E. of South San Francisco, Calif.; Thomas T. of Belleflower, Calif.; also three grandchildren; and sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Plough, Greensburg. He was a member of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, American Legion, Somerset; a veteran of World War II; a retired employee of the Wendon Oil Co. of Greensburg. Friends will be received 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home, where services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, the Rev. Douglas Rehberg officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. The family suggests that, in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Paul's Presbyterian Church in Somerset.
