  W. EDWARD BUCKEL
  
    W. Edward Buckel, 80, of Swanton RD 2, Md., died March 24, 1975, in
  Garrett County Memorial Hospital, Oakland.
    A native of Bittinger, he was a son of the late Joseph and Alice
  (Bittinger) Buckel.
    He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church and a past member of
  the Church Council.  He was also a member of Camp 68, Woodmen of the
  World.
    Surviving are his wife, the former Bertha Wiley; six sons, Blair
  and Robert Buckel, both of Bittinger; Blake and Richard Buckel, both
  of Cumberland; Max Buckel, Adelphi, Md.; and David Buckel, Richmond,
  Va.; five daughters, Mrs. Ferne Beachy, Bittinger; Mrs. June Green,
  Mrs. Beulah Moon and Mrs. Ruby Orendorf, all of Cumberland; and Mrs.
  Jo Ellen Graham, St. Albans, W.Va.; also 28 grandchildren, 22
  great-grandchildren; a stepson, Vernon Wiley, Akron, Ohio; a brother,
  Lawrence Buckel, Bittinger; and a sister, Mrs. Amanda Durr,
  Cresaptown, Md.
    Friends were received in Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, where
  funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock this (Thursday) morning,
  with Rev. L. F. Danner officiating.  Interment in the Bittinger
  Cemetery.
