Born Jan. 30, 1922, in Upper Turkeyfoot Township, son of the late Weldon and Ada (Dumbauld) Bungard. Preceded in death by one sister, Ruby King. Survived by his wife of 40 years, the former Nellie King; a son, Barry E. Bungard, married to former Nancy Koontz of Ebensburg RD 1; 3 grandchildren: Joshua, Seth and Rachael; brother of: George Bungard, Mrs. Clarence (Mardelle) Duppstadt, Mrs. Charles (Olive) Kreger, Naomi Cramer and Mrs. James (Luella) Pletcher, all of Rockwood RD 3; Fred K. Bungard of Grafton, Ohio; Mrs. Joseph (Dortha) Brown, of Meyersdale. World War II veteran of U.S. Army serving in the European Theater where he was awarded the Purple Heart. Member of the Kingwood Church of God. Retired partner of King and Bungard Lumber Co. after 30 years in business. Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Wilbur D.
