Born June 25, 1905, in Indian Head, Salt Lick Township, Fayette County. Son of Adam P. and Minerva (Pletcher) Bungard. Preceded in death by parents; former wife, Violet J. (Kimmel) Bungard, who died on May 22, 1995; son, Gerald N. Bungard; sisters, Iva Maude Gornick, Molly Bright, Lillian Bungard, Harriet Boden, Barbara Schultz, Edith Snyder, Margaret Hostetler and Luzetta Miller; brother, Bruce Bungard. Survived by these children: Harry Eugene "Gene" Bungard, Chelmsford, Mass.; Mrs. Robert L. (Kay) Shaver, Seminole, Fla.; Donald R. Bungard, Acton, Mass.; Mrs. Jerome (Shelia "Joy") Pasek, Wayne, New Jersey; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Life member of FOE Aerie 1801, Somerset. Owned and operated a Gulf service station in Friedens and had been an antique dealer in the Somerset area. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. John H. Snyder officiating.
