Buratty, 38, of 724 Fletcher St., Berlin, died Dec. 21, 1982 at Oakland VA Medical Center, Pittsburgh. He was born March 11, 1944 in Brothersvalley Township, a son of Edward and Mary (Landesman) Buratty. He was preceded in death by his father; sisters: Frances Buratty and Elizabeth Coughenour; and brothers: Donald and Robert. He is survived by his mother; sisters, Mrs. Robert (Rachel) Feight of Breezewood; Gladys at home and Grace Buratty Johnson, Somerset; also brothers: Clifford, Breezewood; and Jay E., Berlin RD 1; also several nieces and nephews. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Occupation and served in the Vietnam War. He was a member of St. Gregory's R. C. Church, McDonaldton; the Harry Fisher Post 445 American Legion; the Robert Walker Post 7295 V.F.W., both of Berlin. Friends were received at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, Berlin. Mass of Christian Burial was held in St. Gregory's Church, with the Rev. Samuel J. Tomaselli officiating. Interment, St. Gregory's Cemetery. The Republic, December 30, 1982 [B3128]
