"Bill" 03/25/05 Daily American William E. "Bill" Buratty, 48, Berlin, died March 23, 2005, at UPMC Lee Regional Hospital, Johnstown. Born Sept. 27, 1956, in Meyersdale, he is the son of William Roher and Elizabeth (Buratty) Coughenour. Preceded in death by his parents, and stepfather James Coughenour. Survived by a sister, Tracey, married to Thomas Weigle, Berlin; a niece, Elizabeth Weigle, at home; and numerous aunts and uncles. He was a graduate of Berlin Brothersvalley High School class of 1974. He was a former freight handler for Snyder of Berlin, an active volunteer for the Berlin Historical Society and the Whiskey Rebellion committee. He was also a member of the NRA. Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where a service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Bryan G. Karchner officiating.
