  CLAIR W. BURD
  
    Clair W. Burd died Dec. 12, 1979 at his residence at Berlin RD 3. 
  He was born July 25, 1889 in Centre Co.; he was the son of the late
  James and Catharine (Smay) Burd.  He is survived by his wife of 73
  years, Laura Calhoun Burd; daughters:  Myra R. Burd and Mabel, wife
  of Donald Hay, all of Berlin RD 3; brother, Jesse Burd, Bellefonte;
  sisters: Maggie Wellers Julian; Marie Patterson and Gertrude Miller,
  Lock Haven and Ruth Kensinger, Altoona.
    He was preceded in death by daughter, Catharine Guy in 1961;
  brothers, Gordon in 1927; George in 1958; Harmon in 1966; John in
  1974 and sister, Rosie Calhoun in 1979.  He was a member of Mt. Zion
  (Hays) U.C.C.
    Friends and relatives were received at the Yost Funeral Home, Lock
  Haven, where funeral services were conducted.  Burial in Rest Haven
  Memorial Park.
