  BURDETT
  
    Gerald W. Burdett, 68, of Draketown Road, Confluence, died Aug. 15,
  1999 in Austin, Texas.  He was born Nov. 23, 1931 in Everett, Mass., a
  son of the late Frederick and Anna Burdett.  He is survived by son
  Kenneth of Hope Mills, N.C. and two grandchildren.  He was a member
  locally of Confluence VFW Post 7250 and the Turkeyfoot Fish and Game
  Association.  He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.  Friends
  will be received from 10 until 11 a.m. Wednesday, the hour of the
  service at Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, with the Rev. James
  Thompson officiating.  Interment will follow in Ursina Cemetery.
