  Erma Catherine Burk, 90, Somerset, died Feb. 23, 2006, at Good Shepherd
  Hospice, Auburndale, Fla. Born Feb. 7, 1916, in Listie, the daughter of
  Sylvester Franklin and Cora Catherine (Shaulis) Baer. Preceded in death by
  parents; husband, William Henry Burk, who died Dec. 23, 1991; brothers, Harold
  and Kenneth Baer; and sister, Gladys Flickinger. Survived by children, Mrs.
  Richard (Shelby) Drummond, Akron, Ohio; Jesse E. Burk, married to the former
  Karen Gardener, Friedens; Mrs. Judith Lape, Brandon, Fla.; James E. Burk,
  married to the former Wanda Posey, Stoystown; Mrs. Robert (Mildred) French,
  Plant City, Fla.; 20 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and eight
  great-great-grand-children. Brother and sisters are Mrs. Verna Mae Hoffman;
  twins, Arthur E. Baer and wife, Betty, and Mrs. Arlene Panasci, all of
  Somerset. Member of Abundant Life Christian Church, a 1934 graduate of Somerset
  High School and also attended Somerset Area Agency on Aging. Friends received
  from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where a
  service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Samuel L. Coughenour
  officiating. Interment Somerset County Memorial Park. Contributions may be made
  to the American Cancer Society, 168 West Union St., Somerset, PA 15501.
