She was twice married. Her first husband was Wesley Walter who died many years ago. To them the following named children were born: Ella, wife of William Bockes, of Garrett; Anna, wife of Joseph Poland, and Irvin and Arthur, who live beyond Pittsburgh. She next married John Burk many years after the death of her first husband. After the death of her second husband she and her son, Arthur, remained in their home in Garrett until a few years ago when the son left on account of being employed elsewhere. After being left alone she sold her home to John Stafford and went to Rockwood to make her home with her daughter, Mrs. Poland, where she was kindly treated until she passed away. She was 70 years old. She leaves two sisters, Mrs. Joseph Fullerton, of Garrett, and Mrs. Emmet Sullivan, of Rockwood. Her remains were brought to Garrett on Friday where interment was made in the old Ridge View Cemetery. The funeral was largely attended. Meyersdale Republican, October 27, 1932
