  BURKETT
  
    Edward Eugene Burkett, 73, Somerset died Feb. 22, 2001 at his
  residence.  Born March 1, 1927 in Cairnbrook.  Son of Franklin S. and
  Leora Mae (Koontz) Burkett Sr.  Preceded in death by parents, brothers
  Merle and Melvin Burkett.  Survived by wife the former Delores Jean
  Lee to whom he was married 54 years and children:  Mrs. Kenneth L.
  (Delores) Yoder of Hillsboro, N.C.; and Edward A. Burkett, married to
  the former Bonnie Mitchell of Somerset and grandchildren: Heidi,
  Kenneth Yoder; and Jonathan Mitchell.  Brother of Katherine Burkett,
  Mrs. Dorothy Cline, James Burkett, Mrs. Donald (Marie) Shaffer,
  Kenneth Burkett and Mrs. John (Shirley) Bishop, all of Somerset;
  Frank S. Burkett of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Ms. Leora Peters of
  Virginia Beach, Va.  Member of Somerset Christian Fellowship Church;
  U.S. Army and Navy veteran of World War II and retired road
  construction worker.  Friends will be received 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday
  and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home,
  Somerset.  Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Somerset
  Christian Fellowship Church, Somerset, Rev. William J. Dodson
  officiating.  Viewing at the church from 10 a.m. until time of
  service. Interment, St. John's Cemetery.  Contributions may be sent
  to Somerset Christian Fellowship Church, 1907 Collinwood Lane,
  Somerset, Pa., 15501; Somerset "In-Touch" Hospice, 1590 N. Center
