Born Aug. 31, 1919 in Somerset, daughter of Franklin Sylvester Sr. and Leora Mae (Koontz) Burkett. Preceded in death by parents; son, Wilmer F. "Junior" Mills Jr., who died Feb. 20, 1991; brothers, Merle F., Melvin R., and Edward E. Burkett; and sister, Marie Shaffer. Survived by children, James F. Mills, married to the former Elda Burk of Somerset; Mrs. John (Louella) Mitchell of Somerset; and Richard E. Burkett married to the former Maria Mardis of Somerset; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Sister of twin, Mrs. Dorothy Cline, James D. Burkett of Somerset; Kenneth I. Burkett of Somerset; Mrs. John (Shirley) Bishop of Somerset; Frank S. Burkett Jr., and wife Barbara of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Ms. Leora Peters of Virginia Beach, Va. Also survived by sister-in-law, Delores Burkett of Somerset. Member of Somerset Christian Fellowship. Worked as a seamstress for the former Coleman Company. Also a member of the Somerset Hospital Heart Club and WDS at the Alliance Church. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Somerset Christian Fellowship. Visitation at the church one hour prior to service. The Rev. William J. Dodson officiating. Interment, St. John's Cemetery.
