  BURKETT
  
    Lawrence W. Burkett, 76, Rockwood RD 1, died March 30, 1988, at his
  residence.  Born Jan. 21, 1912, in Ralphton, son of the late Charles
  Irvin and Mollie Delilah (Friedline) Burkett.  Survived by wife, the
  former Alverda V. Shumaker, to whom he was married for 49 years; a
  daughter, Ms. Elaine F. Younkin, Rockwood RD 1; three grandchildren,
  Sharon, Mark and Gregory; and five great-grandchildren.  Brother of:
  Mrs. Wearing L. (Mary) Schrock, Rockwood; and Charles F., Unicoi,
  Tenn.  Retired farmer and former employee for Hillegas Contracting
  Company.  Member of Milford United Methodist Church and the Laborers
  International Union of North American Local 419.  Friends received
  7-9 p.m. Friday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday at Hauger-Zeigler
  Funeral Home where service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday with Rev.
  Rex A. Wasser officiating. Interment, Union-New Centerville
  Cemetery.  Family suggests contributions to the Milford United
  Methodist Church or the Rockwood Fire Department.
