  BURKETT
  
    Mary E. Burkett, 82, of Berlin, formerly of Stoystown RD 2 (Wilbur)
  died Dec. 21, 1997 in Brothersvalley Township at the home of her
  former daughter-in-law, JoAnn Burkett.  She was born Feb. 16, 1915 in
  Fairhope, a daughter of John and Lottie F. (Purdue) Redhead.  Preceded
  in death by parents; husband, John C.; sisters, Florence Long, Elma
  Smith and Dorothy Huff and brothers, George and Melvin Redhead. 
  Survived by sons, Richard and Don, both of Wilbur; granddaughter,
  Barbara, married to Phil Hautz and great-granddaughters, Brittany and
  Victoria Hautz, all of Stoystown.  Sister of Hazel Reckley and Arthur
  and John Redhead, all of Cumberland, Md.  She was retired from
  Somerset pajama factory.  Attended Otterbein United Methodist Church
  in Wilbur.  Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday
  at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where service will be held at 11
  a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Robert G. Doyle officiating.  Interment,
  Otterbein Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be given to Somerset
  "In Touch" hospice.
