"Do" Burkhart, 76, 320 Overhill Dr., Chambersburg, died Nov. 15, 2000 in the Chambersburg Hospital. Born Oct. 24, 1924 in Somerset County she was the daughter of the late Oran W. and Grace Frank Beachley. Surviving are her husband, Harold M. Burkhart; a brother, Kenneth G. Beachley, Wormleysburg; three nieces, Elizabeth McWilliams, Arlington, Va.; Ellen Jenkins, Dillsburg; Ruth Pikop, Oregon; and a nephew, Michael Beachley, Bakerstown, Md. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church. A graduate of Penn State, she served her internship in dietary at the Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was a member of the American Dietetic Association and in her early life was employed as a dietician in the York School District. Most recently she had been employed 40 years at the Chambersburg Hospital as a dietician, retiring 1990. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday from the Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, 297 Phila. Ave., Chambersburg, with Rev. Steven D. Dorsett officiating. Graveside committal service will be 11 a.m. Monday in the Wills Church Cemetery, Somerset. Visitation will be one half hour prior to the service on Sunday. Memorials may be made to the First Lutheran Church, 43 W. Washington St., Chambersburg, Pa. 17201.
