  June 24, 1924 - June 10, 2003
  
    Robert J. Burkhart, 78, formerly of Meyersdale, died June 10, 2003
  in Southgate, Michigan.
    Born June 24, 1924 he was the son of the late Sylvester and Alice
  Burkhart.  He was preceded in death by two brothers, John Burkhart
  and Nevin Shaffer, and one sister, Martha.
    He is survived by one brother, Bill Burkhart; nieces and nephews
  and great-nieces and great-nephews.
    He grew up in Meyersdale.
    Visitation was held June 12 at Girrbach-Krasun Funeral Home,
  Southgate 
  Chapel.
