    Sylvester J. Burkhart, 81, died July 25 at Somerset Community
  Hospital.
    Born August 15, 1894 in Fairhope, he was the son of the late Joshua
  and Elizabeth (Flickinger) Burkhart.  His wife, the former Alice Fike,
  preceded him in death.
    Surviving are three sons: John Burkhart, Robert Burkhart and
  William Burkhart, all of Michigan; one daughter, Mrs. Martha
  Mostoller, Michigan; one stepson, Nevin Shaffer, Meyersdale; 11
  grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
    Friends were received at the Price Funeral Home where services were
  conducted July 28, with Rev. Joseph Hanna officiating.  Interment in
  Union Cemetery.
