ANNA BURKHOLDER

  A number of our townspeople on Monday attended the funeral of Mrs. Urias 
Burkholder, who passed away last Saturday morning.  She had been ill for some 
time, and finally was stricken by paralysis, which caused her death.  The 
funeral was held at Center Church.  She is survived by her husband, five 
daughters and three sons; also by her father, Jacob Shoemaker, and two sisters, 
Mrs. Jeremiah Stevanus, and Mrs. Ellsworth Briskey.
  Many other relatives and friends also mourn her departure.  She was a devoted 
wife and mother, and will be greatly missed by a large circle of friends.  There 
was a large attendance at the funeral.
