  BERTHA E. BURKHOLDER
  
    Mrs. Bertha E. (Deal) Burkholder, 86, of Grantsville RD 1, died
  June 18, 1977 in Meyersdale Community Hospital.
    Born in McHenry, Md., she was a daughter of the late Reuben and
  Sarah (Shank) Durst.
    Mrs. Burkholder was a member of Maranatha Assembly of God Church.
    Twice married, she was preceded in death by both husbands, Elmer
  Deal and Holmes Burkholder.
    Surviving are seven sons:  John, Elmer and Paul Deal, all of
  Addison; Robert Deal, Markleysburg; George Deal, Listonburg; and
  Donald Deal and Parley Deal, both of Grantsville, Md.; four
  daughters: Mrs. Elsie Realle, Oakland, Md.; Mrs. Rosalie Hoover and
  Mrs. Mary Hiener, both of Akron, Ohio; and Mrs. Edna Butler,
  Confluence; a sister, Mrs. Edith Reichert, Cumberland, Md.; 32
  grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and one great-great
  grandchild.
    Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Maranatha Church with
  Rev. John Briner officiating.  Interment, Flatwood Cemetery.  Funeral
  arrangements were in charge of the Newman Funeral Home.
